(EN) : Embryonic development: Formation of the neural tube and crest. They are formed during a process called neurulation. The neural tube arises from the neural plate, which folds and forms a tube structure. Neural crest cells emerge from the edges of the neural folds, between the neural and non-neural ectoderm, and then migrate to various locations in the embryo.
(FR) : Développement embryonnaire : Formation du tube neural et de la crête neurale. Ils se forment au cours d'un processus appelé neurulation. Le tube neural naît de la plaque neurale, qui se replie pour former une structure tubulaire. Les cellules de la crête neurale émergent des bords des replis neuraux, entre l'ectoderme neural et non neural, puis migrent vers divers sites de l'embryon.
