Description
Newspaper article describing the conditions of the Shacks that immigrant workers lived in (AAs, Hungarians, polish and Newfoundlanders). The houses were described as having no sewage, the ventilation was horrible, no beds but just a very long table, and two families occupied a double house with four to six rooms in it.
