Elsevier, perhaps the most well-known name in electronic publishing today, takes it name from the much earlier and, perhaps, comparably successful Dutch printing house. It is renowned for its meticulous printing and a series of duodecimal format books, examples of which are still prized by collectors today. The pages on display in French is second a language manual for German speakers which show the close physical juxtaposition of not only two languages but that of Gothic and Roman-style types.
