Incluant des milliers d'ouvrages touchant différents sujets comme la médecine, le droit, la littérature, la philosophie, les sciences naturelles, la géographie, les sciences, l'architecture, l'histoire, les arts, la collection comprend des ouvrages publiés en Europe et en Amérique mais également des Canadiana. On y trouve en majorité des monographies mais également des périodiques européens et canadiens des 17e, 18e et 19e siècle.</text>

Its title appears in gilt on the spine, with gilt double borders on its front and back covers and gilded edges. There is evidence that this is a rebinding due to the visible cutting of textblock, which has caused a minor loss of text. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration:underline;"&gt;Français&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ce livre est relié en maroquin noir. Il s’agit de l’une des couleurs dont ces cuirs de peau de chèvre très fins étaient teints. Le titre a été doré sur le dos et des doubles bordures dessinent le pourtour des deux couvertures. La tranche a également été dorée. Il ne s’agit pas ici de la reliure originale. On peut notamment voir que le corps de l’ouvrage a été rogné de façon un peu cavalière. Certaines parties du texte ont en effet disparu.</text>
