This practice ensured that this item could be traced back to its original point of sale after leaving the shop’s shelves, and the connection back to booksellers James and Andrew Duncan could not be better indicated!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Cette magnifique marque de propriété n’est pas celle du propriétaire/lecteur du livre, mais plutôt des libraires James et Andrew Duncan de Glasgow en Écosse, qui avaient cet ouvrage en vente dans leur boutique. Façon de s’assurer de laisser sa trace sur un livre qui quittera nécessairement les étagères, l’attachement des libraires pour leur inventaire ne saurait être si bien illustré.&lt;/p&gt;</text>
