(EN) : Sporangium: Discharge of the spores. A sporangium is a specialized structure that contain spores and is located on the undersides of fronds. When the sporangium dries out, a specialized ring of cells called the annulus dehydrates and contracts, causing the sporangium to open and release the spores into the wind.

(FR) : Sporange : Éjection des spores. Un sporange est une structure spécialisée contenant des spores et située sur la face inférieure des frondes. Lorsque le sporange se dessèche, un anneau de cellules spécialisé, appelé annulus, se déshydrate et se contracte, provoquant l'ouverture du sporange et la libération des spores dans le vent.
