(EN) : Embryonic eye development: : The process begins with the forebrain evaginating to form optic vesicles, which subsequently invaginate to create the optic cups. Each optic cup then gives rise to the neural retina and retinal pigment epithelium, while the lens develops from the surface ectoderm in response to cues from the optic cup.

(FR) : Développement embryonnaire de l'œil : Le processus débute par l'évagination du cerveau antérieur pour former des vésicules optiques, qui s'invaginent ensuite pour former les cupules optiques. Chaque cupule optique donne ensuite naissance à la rétine neurale et à l'épithélium pigmentaire rétinien, tandis que le cristallin se développe à partir de l'ectoderme superficiel en réponse aux signaux émis par la cupule optique.
