(EN) : Dipleurula: A generalized type of larva that incorporates features common to all types of echinoderm larvae and is hypothetically the ancestral type. Because of its similarity with the tornaria larva, it is hypothesized to indicate affinities between the two phyla, Echinodermata and Chordata.

(FR) : Dipleurule : Type généralisé de larve présentant des caractéristiques communes à tous les types de larves d'échinodermes et constituant hypothétiquement le type ancestral. En raison de sa similitude avec la larve tornaria, cela témoignerait des affinités entre les deux embranchements, les échinodermes et les chordés.
