(EN) : Malpighian tubule: Cryptonephric type where the tip is closely associated with the hindgut i.e., the distal ends of the tubules are embedded in or surround the rectum, often within a specialized chamber called the perinephric space. This is found in larvae of many Lepidoptera (but not in adults).

(FR) : Tubule de Malpighi : Type cryptonéphrique où l'extrémité est étroitement associée à l'intestin postérieur, c'est-à-dire que les extrémités distales des tubules sont intégrées dans le rectum ou l'entourent, souvent dans une chambre spécialisée appelée espace périnéphrique. On le retrouve chez les larves de nombreux lépidoptères (mais pas chez les adultes).
