(EN) : Cilia and kinetodesmata: General arrangement. The cilia are tiny hair-like structures used for movement, which are arranged in rows called kineties. These kineties are then connected by a system of fibers called kinetodesmata, which help to coordinate the coordinated beating of the cilia.
