Esta imagen nos muestra un ejemplo de cómo se trataba a los hombres de forma diferente en materia de sexualidad a principios del siglo XX. Aquí Demetrio coquetea con Camila, una joven que le atiende mientras está herido, mientras él tiene mujer y bebé. La expectativa de que las mujeres deben permanecer leales y monógamas contrasta con la indulgencia concedida a los hombres por comportamientos similares o peores.

Esta imagen muestra el flashback de Deke Thornton sobre su experiencia en prisión que vivió cuando Pat Harrigan le dijo: «Tienes 30 días para conseguir pica o 30 días de vuelta a Yuma» (traducido por mí). Presumiblemente, Harrigan se refería a la Prisión Territorial de Yuma, una antigua prisión situada en Yuma, Arizona, Estados Unidos. En concreto, esta imagen muestra a Thornton siendo azotado mientras estaba en prisión. Se puede deducir que puede haber sido «animado» a trabajar como cazarrecompensas por Harrigan a través de la violencia, ya que solía trabajar con Bishop. En esta captura de pantalla vemos a una mujer asesinada por una supuesta traición. Es la ex novia de Ángel y él la mató por dejarle por Mapache. A Teresa se le asigna el papel de interés amoroso o de «premio» que se reparte entre los hombres, sin agencia ni influencia en la trama, salvo como motivación para la acción masculina. Su papel se limita a definirse a través de sus relaciones con los hombres (hija, novia o amante robada), lo que refleja los roles de género de la época. En cuanto a las normas de género, el castigo de Teresa (ser asesinada por Ángel) refleja la aplicación de una norma: se espera que las mujeres sean leales y sumisas. Cuando se desvían de esta norma, son castigadas. La infidelidad y la traición de Teresa no se ven sólo como fallos personales, sino como violaciones de las normas sociales para las mujeres de la época.
