Faisant suite à celles de M. ANDRE LAGUERRE, les déclarations de M. THITGER sur la liberté de presse et d'information sont accueillies très favorablement ici dans tous les milieux intéressés.
- U. de ce matin notamment salue la suspension des ordonnances d'alger et félicite le Gouvernement d'avoir compris que la liberté de la presse est celle de la liberté politique et qu'elle est inconsistente avec un régime d'autorisation préalable et de contrôle administratif.
A part les restrictions d'ordre (5709) purement militaire, la liberté de presse et d'information ne connaîtra aucune restriction dans ce pays. Les milieux de presse ne lui sont pas moins attachés que le public lui-même.
Rien ne peut agir sur opinion américaine dans un sens plus favorable à ses intérêts aussi bien qu'au prestige et autorité morale du Gouvernement que de voir cette liberté restaurée en France et un large et libre courant d'information s'établir entre les deux pays.

bateaux français réquisitionnés par les autorités argentines.
