Le New York Herald Tribune organise cette année, comme année précédente, le 16 et le 17 novembre deux (sessions) de "Forum public" qui se tiennent New York au cours desquelles certaines personnes américaines et étrangères discuternent questions s'attachant au thème général suivant: "Pioneering for a Civilised World". H. WERDELL WILLKIE sera l'un des (orateurs) et le Forum sera terminé par un message radio Président HOOSEVELT. CHURCHILL a promis adresser message à l'assemblée et l'on en espère recevoir un également de STALINE. La rédaction de ce journal qui nous a été toujours fréquemment (2606) favorable, exprime le désir que le General DE GAULLE veuille bien également lui adresser un message dont la longueur devrait (se limiter) à une durée d'environ deux minutes. Le sujet pourrait en être la part que la France de demain prendra à l'oeuvre commune de la civilisation universelle.

Je recommande vivement cette demande et je vous serais obligé de prendre les dispositions nécessaires pour que le texte du General DE GAULLE parvienne à notre délégation le 13 novembre au plus tard afin que celle-ci ait le temps de le faire traduire en anglais et d'en assurer la lecture à la session du Forum, dans les meilleures conditions possibles.
