La ... japonaise doit me verser, pour le règlement des dépenses de ce mois, 8 millions de CRB représentant le solde du transfert ... de Tokyo pour les août, septembre, octobre. J'envoie au Département, par un télégramme séparé, ... pris en recette. Après le règlement de toutes dépenses de novembre, les fonds que j'ai en caisse ne me suffiront que jusqu'à l'échéance du 15 décembre.

En raison des délais considérables avec lesquels les transferts ont été effectués jusqu'à présent, je serais reconnaissant au Département de bien vouloir pourtant faire prendre toutes les dispositions nécessaires pour que (les) versements ... aux ... soient effectués tout de suite. Je rappelle au Département que d'après les renseignements donnés aux autorités japonaises, le dernier versement (devait) couvrir nos besoins jusqu'au (910) 31 octobre seulement.

De plus, ainsi que vient de me rappeler M. COSME, toutes les dépenses du budget des (consultés) devraient dorénavant être régies directement sur l'encaisse des postes. Après la perte presque totale du mobilier laissé par vous à Londres le mobilier que vous ... ... (transmettre) à Bath a été lui-même entièrement détruit le 26 avril dernier lors d'un bombardement aérien. Notre consul à Londres est valnement intervenu jusqu'ici auprès du Foreign Office afin qu'une indemnité vous soit accordée. Le contenu des caisses de Londres qui auraient pu être (sauvés) et qui pour la plupart contenaient des livres endommagés par l'eau a été pemballé par les soins de la maison JHENUE. Les frais de l'opération seront réglés par le Département.
