Au moment oú la compagnie compte se rendre au O,ili, la situation financière apparait comme très préoccupante.

Je me réfère à votre message 5568 du 27 juillet.

Le payeur général à Rabat a versé au profit du trésorier général
à Rabat la somme de 18.354.000 francs représentant la contre-valeur au cours
de 45 francs 70 pour un dollar, des $420.000 qui ont été récemment transférés
du compte spécial "Auport au nom de la BANQUE D'EVET DE MAROC chez la
FRENCH-AMERICAN BANKING CORPORATION au crédit du compte "North Africa".

Le secrétariat général permanent en Afrique française demande s'il
serait possible d'appliquer (647) à cette opération le taux de 43,90. Il
fait valoir qu'il me s'agit pas d'une cession de devises, mais de ...
d'avoirs inemployés, c'est-à-dire en fait d'une opération d'ordre.

D'autre part, le règlement de la contre-valeur en francs des
dollars précédents versés du compte "N.A." au compte spécial "A" a été
effectué par l'état marocain sur la base du taux de 43,90. Leur ... au
cours de 43,70 laisserait donc substituer au compte spécial du trésorier
retraçant ces opérations un débit de 84.000 francs.

Je serais reconnaissant à V.E. d'examiner la question et de
me faire part de votre sentiment. Si l'opération susmentionnée présente
bien le caractère d'une opération d'ordre, je ne vois pas pour ma part
d'objection à ce que vous appliquiez le cours de 43,90.
