ROOSEVELT a reçu hier le général MACHADURTON, com-
mandant des forces canadiennes dans les îles britan-
niques. D'après le gouvernement français, le général
canadien aurait expliqué au président le projet
ébauché actuellement en Angleterre (d'une invasion)
du continent à laquelle participeraient les forces
canadiennes.
En second lieu le journal dit que de très
importants convois sont actuellement en route vers
le sud-est du Pacifique afin de retirer aux Japonais (981)
l'initiative des (opérations) dans cette région. Il
est probable, dit le NEW YORK TIMES que l'attaque
