Elle reproduit un article du MELBOURNE HERALD se (plaignant) que les E.U. paraissent considérer jusqu'à présent l'Australie comme un théâtre d'opérations secondaire, la laissant presqu'à elle-même en face d'un grave danger en dépit de l'encouragement platonique.

Dane une lettre adressée à M. P. CONNGLLY, secrétaire du comité du parti ouvrier du comté de New-York et (chef) de l'aile gauche à tendance communiste de ce parti, Mme. ROOSEVELT, protestant contre l'usage qui avait été fait, à des fins électorales, d'une déclaration antérieure, a indiqué (que ses) sympathies allaient à l'aile droite du parti. Elle a ajouté:- "Je n'ai aucune illusion sur la position du pa ti communiste américain dans les affaires des E.U. J'admire la Russie et la résistance merveilleuse dont la Russie fait (2938) preuve. La Russie a droit au genre de gouvernement que les Russes désirent avoir, mais je ne veux pas (être) contrôlée dans ce pays par un groupe américain qui à son toub est contrôlé par la Russie et les intérêts russes. Je désire voir le monde ouvrier uni parce que cela augmentera sa force, mais il ne peut pas être politiquement uni avec des gens qui agissent sous l'ordre et dans l'intérêt d'une autre nation."
Il est intéressant de noter cette réaction quasi-officielle contre l'action soviétique (2939) qui s'exerce de plus en plus activement dans les milieux ouvriers et même dans certains cercles politiques. La lettre de Mme. ROOSEVELT, qui a reçu à sa demande une large publicite, a surpris maints observateurs qui considéraient jusqu'ici Mme. ROOSEVELT comme le plus fidèle soutien des éléments les plus avancés.

source gaulliste de l'ASSOCIATED PRESS, le Gouvernement français aurait accepté de livrer à l'Allemagne tous les Juifs "(soi-disant) d'origine étrangère" se trouvant en France occupée et les 10,000 Juifs de la zône non-occupée.
De même source, on annonce que 3,600 Juifs se trouvant déjà dans les camps à Gers, à Rivesaltes et à (2942) Vernet avaient été désignés pour être départés, d'autres seraient sur le point de quitter Pau, Perpignan et Marseille. Enfin des arrestations en masse auraient été opérées dimanche à Lyon.
D'autre part (2943) un télégramme de la U.P. de Vichy du $1^{\text {er }}$ août, retardé dans sa transmission, prétend que les autorités allemandes auraient ordonné la stérilisa-
