Les journaux du "NEWS SYNDICATE" se sont depuls 2000; come je l'al indiqué, à la politique du second front en Europe.

Par contre, le CHICAGO TRIBUNE peralstant dans sa doctrine ancienne écrivalt hler soir:- "Nous ne connaissons qu'un second front, celui du facifique. Tant que les Japonais occuperont les îles Alćoutiennes, Wake et Guam, tant qu'ils menaceront l'Australie, ce serait une folle de croire que le Pacifique est un champ d'action secondaire. Ceux qui demandent l'ouverture d'un second front en Europe dédent à la propagande communiste ou à celle des Anglais."

La presse americaine de ce matin considère que le sort du proche Orient se décide en ce moment. On reconnait généralement que les Anglais ont engagé toutes leurs forces et mis tous leurs espoirs dans l'issue de cette rencontre. Les commentateurs sont d'ailleurs extrêmement pessimistes:- "Seul un miracle militaire pourrait empêcher BONMEL d'arriver au Caire," écrit le commentateur de P.W.

Enfin une vague anti-britannique apparait (dans) les journaux de ce matin. Dans le WALL STREET JOURNAL Monsieur MORLEY considère que:- "(Les) Anglais se battent très bien aux heures de désastre à ... de défendre leur pays. En Egypte ils ont peu de (2596) coeur à la lutte puisqu'ils se savent sur un territoire dont ils se sont emparés sans droit bien établi ... .

De même, le CHICAGO SUN écrit:- "La ... de l'impérialisme anglais apparait en Egypte, la Malaisie et la Birmanie."

Le comte SFORZA a pris la parole hier à une réunion donnée par l'titalian-American Lebo:r Counoll à New York en l'honneur de M. MATTHESS, correspondant du "NEW YORK TIMES" à ... récemment revenu aux E.U.

L'ancien ministre italien déclare à cette occasion que rien ne pouvait être plus sensible à l'(orgueil) italien que les (défavorables) allusions de la presse des Nations Unies au manque de valeur militaire de l'armée italienne:-
"Après les échecs militaires des Britaniques, il n'appartient pas, a précisé le comte SFORZA, aux Nations Unies de critiquer le courage et la valeur militaires des soldats italiens."

Enfin, se référant au livre du colonel KENNAN, qui recommande aux Alliés de commencer l'invasion de l'Europe par un débarquement en Italie, le comte SFORZA a fait remarquer "qu'une telle suggestion ne pourrait profiter qu'à NITLER ou à MUSSOLINI."

Des dépenses de source anglaise annoncent que deux Indiens
dont l'un est délégué des ..., feront désormais partie du conseil du
vice-roi des Indes et s'égaront dans le Cabinet de Guerre. Un des
deux nouveaux ministres occupera le poste de la Défense nationale sous
l'autorité du général WAVELL.

En annonçant cette décision le Gouvernement britannique a fait
remarquer qu'il s'agissait exactement comme si les propositions présentes
annonçées l'hiver dernier par Sir STAFFORD CRIPPS avaient été acceptées
par le chef indien.

D'après une dépêche de Londres reproduite ce matin dans les journaux américains, la ... aurait seulement indiqué que le Gouvernement du Reich ne pouvait pas accorder un ... au navire parce que son port d'attache actuel était New-York, inolus dans la zone interdite.

Au cas où le T.. . . .INGHOLM se dirigerait au cours de ses voyages ultérieurs vers les ports du golfe du Mexique, les objections allemandes tomberaient d'elles-mêmes.

SECARD, envoyé en mission en Argentine à la fin de l'année dernière par le Ministère de la Production industrielle pour étudier les conditions futures d'une reprise des affaires, s'est vu refuser de la part des représentants britanniques et américains à Buenos Aires l'autorisation de retourner en France. D'après les informations du Département, ce refus est dû à l'action du comité gaulliste de Buenos Aires qui prétend que M. SECARD était allé en Argentine pour négocier des affaires de laine pour le compte des Allemandes.

Il s'agit d'un cas (connu) de (1370) brimade que le Département d'Etat, exactement informé, ne consentira certainement pas à couvrir de son autorité.

Veuillez en saisir le Département d'Etat en le priant d'agir auprès des autorités britanniques afin de faire lever l'interdiction de retour et de donner des instructions dans le même sens à l'Ambassadeur des E.U. à Buenos Aires.
