DELEUZE m'a fait part de la forte pression qui est exercée par les éléments gaullistes au concours du conseil de direction du lycée franco-mexicain pour que celui-ci rompe tout lien avec la légation et s'affilie au comité France-Libre de Londres. Moyeant cette déclaration d'allégeance, ledit comité s'engage à verser au lycée une subvention de 25,000 pèsos. J'ai vivement relevé la gravité qu'aurait une telle décision.
Le conseil de direction ne s'est pas encore (décidé) définitivement. Il va être procédé à une consultation des principaux personnages de la colonie française.

Américains à nouvelles encore pires pour les trois mois d'été.
Le plus (extraordinaire), dit-elle, est que forces politiques qui ont conquert l'Egypte et celles actuellement employées en (Ukraine) sont relativement peu importantes. HITLER a gardé en réserve force et surtout aviation considérables et ceci ajoute à notre malaise. Nous sommes certains maintenant que la guerre ne sera pas courte et nous avons devant nous la pers p octive d'heures les plus noires et combats les plus sanglants.
(Quant à) situation en proche Orient, un éditorial de la presse SCRIFFS-HORARD déclarait hier soir: "Nous avons le droit de demander compte aux Anglais du matériel que nous leur avons accordé par priorité ... tout l'hiver pour leur défense dans le proche Orient.
