RENE CLAIR, le cinéaste français bien connu, me demande transmettre services intéressés a Paris expression de son désir de se mettre a la disposition de notre production cinématographique nationale pour aider dans la mesure de ses moyens a sa renaissance. Il fait valoir qu'invité en décembre '41 par les autorités de Vichy a rentrer en France, il s'y est refusé pour ne pas donner l'impression (6208) d'une affectation volontaire au régime imposé par les Allemands que ses collègues restés en France étaient contraints de subir.

Je vous serais obligé de me mettre a même de faire connaître a M. CLAIR l'accueil réservé par organisation du cinéma français à sa demande et de me faire savoir si je suis éventuellement autorisés a lui accorder un visa d'entrée pour la France.
