Recevant hier une délégation des associations polonaises-américaines des Etats-Unis, le Président ROOSEVELT lui a déclaré que la Pologne devrait être reconstruite comme une grande nation et que l'opinion du monde soutient la reconstruction "d'une Pologne forte, représentative, pacifique" qui serait une des fondations de l'édifice futur sur qui reposerait la paix permanente. Il a ajouté qu'il (M.M.: était?) difficile (6205) de se faire une opinion .U. sur ce qui se passait actuellement en Pologne et que lui le Président des Etats-Unis ne savait pas encore toutes les circonstances des derniers événements de Varsovie. Toute déclaration est conçue en termes calculés de façon à la fois à ne pas (blesser) la susceptibilité soviétique et à ménager les sentiments de l'électorat polonais-américain.
