WALTER LIPPMANN arrivera à Paris vers le 10 novembre et y fera un séjour de deux ou trois jours seulement avant de se rendre dans la zone des opérations. Il désirerait vivement pouvoir être reçu par Général DE GAULLE, MR. BIDAULT, TIXIER et PLEVEN. Dès son arrivée (6494) il se mettra en rapport avec vous à cet effet par l'intermédiaire de l'ambassade américaine. Etant donné le crédit considérable dont jouit WALTER LIPPMANN auprès de l'opinion américaine je vois grand intérêt à ce que les entrevues qu'il désire doivent être organisées et, d'une manière plus générale, à ce qu'un soin particulier fût pris pour l'éclairer sur les principaux problèmes français de l'heure.
