Depuis huit jours ordre est tout à fait rétabli au Guatemala. 50.000 personnes environ ont manifesté le désir (voter) en faveur du comité révolutionnaire. L'assemblée législative a été dissolue; des nouvelles élections auront lieu 5 novembre. 60 Généraux ont été arrêtés.

(18854) J'ai cependant rencontré chez mes collègues même sentiment de sympathie que celui que je vous ai déjà exprimé et le désir de ne pas se montrer trop formaliste. Il semble qu'une démocratie se réalise ici pour la première fois. La population fait preuve de ... ... Le Gouvernement britannique suivra attitude américaine.
