**Circulaire no 48.**

Plusieurs gouvernements d'Amérique latine nous ont fait connaître leur désir d'ériger en ambassade leur représentation diplomatique à Paris et de voir accréditer auprès d'eux un Ambassadeur de France. Tout en marquant combien Gouvernement français est sensible à ces demandes, Département a répondu (4035) aux gouvernements intéressés qu'il ne pouvait être procédé à de telles transformations que dans le cadre d'un remaniement d'ensemble de notre représentation en Amérique latine; un tel remaniement exige entre autres la modification de dispositions intérieures françaises, (ce) qui retardera notre réponse.
