Par décret présidentiel le Général de division CHRISTOVÃO DE CASTRO BARCELOS vient d'être nommé chef d'état-major de l'armée brésilienne, en remplacement du Général MAURÍGIO CARDOSO. Le Général BARCELOS, qui a servi pendant la guerre dans l'armée française et dont la conduite comme chef de peloton au 17ième régiment de dragons lui a valu de remarquables citations, est un grand ami de la France.
