Notre agence générale New York me signale que la **COMPAGNIE TRANSAILANTIQUE** a passé 17 octobre dernier avec la ville New York un contrat pour la location d'un appartement et que cet acte a été signé pour la compagnie par M. **MORIS DE LINCLAIS** avec contresing du contrôleur finances des missions françaises. Notre consul à New York me demande s'il doit en conclure que M. **MORIS DE LINCLAIS** a été rétabli dans ses fonctions.

Je lui réponds (7340) qu'il n'en est rien à ma connaissance. Contrôleur finances de l'état français ... à toute opération de la compagnie rendait sans doute ce contresing nécessaire. Cet exemple souligne incinvenience de la situation signalée par mon télégramme 535 du 6 décembre et qui amène nos services officiels français à entériner devant autorités américaines les actes d'un agent révoqué (officiellement) depuis 10 mois.
