vain de s'opposer à leur expédition. Les Apglais, de leur côté, la déplorent mais ils estiment ne pas être à même de l'empêcher.

Bien que cette nouvelle livraison soit de nature à encourager l'intransigeance des Ethiopiens à notre égard, et qu'elle ne soit pas exemptée de danger, il nous serait sans doute difficile d'invoquer des raisons sérieuses pour la retenir longtemps à Djibouti. La question mérite cependant un examen attentif.

Les Ethiopiens ont déjà reçu 16 canons de 75, 36 canons de 97, et des munitions abondantes (M. -maïs?) n'auraient pas encore été capables de reviser les 75, et leurs notions d'artillerie sont rudimentaires. Signé: DE BLESSEN.
