Le Département d'Etat vient de me confirmer officiellement par communication verbale indication donnée le 31 janvier par la Marine américaine à Amiral FTEARD et transmise par une valise au Ministère de la Marine suivant laquelle les diverses autorités américaines intéressées (658) se sont mises d'accord pour approuver définitivement envoi d'un officier de marine français des États-Unis à Clipperton.

D'autre part étant mis en possession texte complet de (votre télégramme) du 29 janvier je vais pouvoir procéder (à la) démarche prescrite par votre télégramme 596XX.
