L'armée du sud de son côté qu'on s'attendait depuis quelque temps (2004) entra au départ de M. MENKENJUGLU dont la "tactique" ne cadrait pas avec la politique du Gouvernement. Les procédés trop subtils de l'ancien ministre avaient créé à ... de la Turquie, dont l'alliance avec la Grande-Bretagne et la France reste la base de sa politique, un sentiment de suspicion qui lui a plus nul même qu'une neutralité déclarée. (Le) question de la belligérance turque aux côtés des alliés, à ajouté ce diplomate, est tout à fait différente, et les Anglais ne souhaitent d'ailleurs pas que la Turquie entre actuellement en guerre.
