GARREAU describes the brilliant reception held in the Embassy on July 14 from 6.00 P.M. to 1.00 A.M. with unprecedented attendance of notables, and hails this impressive tribute to renascent France. He notes that the guests were surprised at the condition of the Embassy in spite of three years of neglect. Extensive repairs have made it again the finest diplomatic mansion in Moscow.
