Comme mon télégramme 456/829X N. j'ai vu longuement la personne recommandée par M. DE MESSIERES pour le poste Boston. Il s'agit de ROBERT WINKER d'une bonne famille de la Nouvelle Angleterre. Diplômé d'Harvard en ... il (était) en France en (1817) avec l'American Field Service et a terminé la guerre dans l'armée américaine. Marié à une Française parent de (4553) CHAMPEISE DERIVED il reste en France jusqu'à 1941. Depuis son retour aux États-Unis il s'est consacré entièrement à des activités intéressant la France et collabore actuellement au Christian Science Monitor. M. WINKER m'a produit la meilleure impression et je recommande hautement sa désignation. Voulez-vous me faire connaître d'urgence votre décision à ce sujet?
