Replying to telegrams BBOX and 229XX BLONDEL reports various reasons why it is inadvisable for le père SAADE to accept the invitation to visit Algiers and Beirut, chief among them being the usefulness of his close relations with the Lebanese deputy, M. EL-ACHKAR whom he has guided in his visit to Brazil and whom he expects to accompany to Argentina. As for the mission of investigation into the Syro-Lebanese colonies, it is stated, it could not be better fulfilled than by le père SAADE.
