En raison (difficultés) du transit par (chemin de fer) à travers France des colis destinés aux prisonniers français, recevons de Genève un télégramme par lequel Comité International Croix-Rouge organiserait colonne camions qui transporterait colis stockés à Lisbonne jusqu'à Genève.

L'American Red Cross (26400) avancerait l'essence, huile, graisse, les pneus et les pièces de rechange nécessaires.

On m'a demandé si le Gouvernement envisagerait favorablement paiement des frais en question au pro rata des marchandises transportées par route pour les prisonniers de guerre (26401) français.

Veuillez faire de ma part à l'American Red Cross les réponses suivantes:

1) Sommes d'accord en principe pour payer en dollars montant des frais transport.

2) Nous ne pourrons donner accord définitif que lorsque montant de la dépense sera connu exactement.
