Je n'ai pas encore rapports complets sur perte vaisseau ... W ... qui transportait famille THIEBAUT. Les premiers qui (ont été) reçus indiquent que ce vaisseau qui venait de Macao a été torpillé de nuit par un ou deux (sous-marins) à 55 milles de l'entrée du port Hai-Phang et a coulé en 2 minutes; capitaine, le second et 13 Chinois ont seuls pu se sauver. Ont disparu outre famille THIEBAUT 94 Chinois passagers ou membres équipage; lieutenant-colonel THIEBAUT aurait été (vu) dans une coursive (au temps du) torpillage.
