and Finance, Office of Foreign Trade, with the request that this
message be communicated immediately to Mr. WENGER.

"(It seems ?) that the --U--" of the Con Cordia at
Ploesti has just been seriously hit during the air raid to-day. The
side-trucks and the ware-houses, where my products, making up the
balance of the first installment of the order placed (? with this ?)
--G-- on the value of the March bonds, are stored, are reported to
have been seriously hit and to be on fire. I hope to be able to
send you more specific information to-morrow."
