FAQ

#368

Continuation of my 362°.

Having been questioned by Chinese (? journalists ?) concerning the date set for the abolition of extraterritorial rights by the Nipponese authorities, the Japanese Ambassador replied:

"Theoretically abolition has been decided upon. Japan is constantly evading the question, and has already begun to repeal these rights. For example, taxes". The two governments are now examining the possibility of total suppression of extraterritorial rights. It is impossible to state now when the question will be settled."
