La vive insistance des autorités japonaises en cette matière manifeste clairement leur anxiété de l'abstention dans laquelle se tient l'Ambassade française alors que les autres missions diplomatiques ont déjà pris toutes les mesures nécessaires en vue d'une évacuation définitive. D'autre part il est à craindre que cette autorité n'invoque ultérieurement notre (476) acceptation ... la ... du transfert éventuel de mon personnel.

Je compte maintenir jusqu'à nouvel ordre le point de vue dont j'ai fait part au Ministre des Affaires étrangères. Ainsi en vue d'être prêt à des événements que le développement des opérations dans le Pacifique risque de rendre proches je serais reconnaissant à V.S. de bien vouloir hâter l'octroi des crédits
