Il est peu probable qu'il existerait un plan de défense de l'Indochine en cas de la reprise des Philippines par les américains, et je crois que cet événement a surpris l'Etat-Major nippon. On ne voit d'ailleurs pas comment l'Indochine peut être défendue contre un adversaire maître de la mer et disposant d'une aviation à laquelle le Japon n'a rien à opposer.
