La décision de "saisir" les journaux français en Afrique du Nord qui paraissaient avant le 8 novembre 1942, a été mal reçue dans les milieux qui nous étaient sympathiques, en raison probablement, de la présentation dont elle a été faite par les commentateurs américains de radio à Alger. La fusion des deux agences informations françaises... "Presse Associée" est bien reçue.

Nous serions désireux recevoir rapidement (Part 2) explications précises au sujet saisie des journaux afin de nous permettre répondre nombreuses questions posées. La présence de LABARTHE à New York rend notre tâche plus difficile car il se répand dans les milieux de presse et critique souvent le contrôle exercé par le Comité sur la presse nord-africaine.
