Contraire à ses premières indications le Département d'Etat vient de me faire savoir que nous ne pourrions disposer d'aucun tonnage de pétrole lampant sur la côte est.

Le Département d'Etat nous propose de prendre ce pétrole à Curaçao, où l'ILE D'OURSSANT se rend, ayant embarqué 5,000 tonnes de charbon à Norfolk.

Le remplissage des fûts de pétrole à Curaçao sera assez long mais le fournisseur consulte promet que l'opération ne durera plus de dix jours.

Je serais reconnaissant à V.E. de bien vouloir (2629) me faire connaître d'extrême urgence.
$1^{\circ}$ A quelle date l'OURSSANT pourra quitter New-York.
$2^{\circ}$ Si ce navire pourra se rendre à Curaçao après son séjour à Norfolk.
$3^{\circ}$ S'il est indispensable que l'ILE DROURSSANT et l'ILE DE NOIRMONTIER traversent l'Atlantique de (concert).
