M. CORDELL HULL a prononcé hier soir à la radio le discours annoncé. Le secrétaire d'Etat a parlé avec beaucoup de modération. Il a reconnu que les quatre libertés prévues dans la charte de l'Atlantique comme les bases du monde futur ne pourraient pas être appliquées (qu')après la fin des hostilités. M. CORDELL HULL a admis que chaque nation devait conserver le droit de rejeter ou non cet idéal américain ... de sa vie politique. Le secrétaire d'Etat a fait un appel direct aux puissances neutres de cet héminphère, et du reste du monde, leur demandant de se ranger à la cause des Nations-Unies, (2829) et de ne pas chercher plus longtemps à s'(isoler) du conflit en cours.

Ce discours fait de ... tout général (a reçu) l'approbation unanime de la presse, qui voit dans M. CORDELL HULL le philosophe des Nations-Unies, im... dans son idéal malgré (les) victssitudes des combattants.
