Les imprimeries VARIETES ont été fondées à Montréal il y a deux ans par deux jeunes gens dont les pères sont des ... connus. L'un d'eux surtout, M. PELADEAU, un (homme d'une) activité extrême attaché à nos intérêts et dont les efforts méritent l'encouragement, comme je lui ai (indiqué) par ma dépêche du 9 octobre 1941 ... . Notre attaché commercial ajoute que l'agence ne (veut) pas accorder une cote financière à une entreprise trop récente, mais les banques sont satisfaites de leurs relations (avec elle). Son activité serait d'environ ... dollars.

D'autres maisons de Montréal plus connues et aussi honorables, telles (que) BEAUCHEMIN, VALIQUETTE, PONY, s'intéressent également à l'impression de livres français, mais la question soulève de graves difficultés que je compte exposer très prochainement en réponse à la lettre des Oeuvres du 11 juin.
