(Le) président de la Croix-Rouge américaine m'a confirmé par lettre que le Gouvernement fédéral avait autorisé le prochain départ du "MONT EVEREST" chargé de 5,000 tonnes de lait évaporé et de 20,000 layettes pour enfants.

Le lait en poudre stocké à Baltimore depuis le déchargement du "CAPULIN" n'étant plus jugé propre à la consommation et le marché américain n'ayant plus de lait pulvérisé, la Croix-Rouge a dû procéder à la substitution d'un tonnage identique de lait évaporé.

Cette quantité ne fournit d'ailleurs qu'une quantité très inférieure de lait consommable.

La Croix-Rouge demande au Gouvernement français de faire les notifications nécessaires aux belligérants en vue d'un départ probable entre le 10 et 15 août.
