Australie était estimé à environ (2947) $1 \%$ de la production prévue pour les E.U. en 1942. Le corps expéditionnaire américain compensait seulès les forces australiennes utilisées hors du continent et le ... de navires à la disposition de l'Australie ne fera que remplacer les pertes subies par ce pays.

Il est à noter enfin que le général d'aviation américaine BRERETON qui se trouverait aux Indes avec les forces d'aviation destinées à aider la Chine, a été signalé comme combattant maintenant dans le Proche Orient. Il semble donc bien qu'une partie du matériel destiné à la Chine, comme du matériel destiné à l'Australie, ait été (dirigée) sur le Proche Orient.
