Notre légation a Lisbonne m'a fait savoir que
la légation des E.U. dans cette ville avait reçu, le 7 aout, un telégramme de Washington, Indiquant que le PRIMAIRE avait appareillé d'Aruba le 30 juillet.

La légation des E.U. ignore son lieu de destination, mais considère que ce batiment a da se rendre dans un port de chargement.
(1621) Je vous serais obligé d'effectuer auprès des services américains et d'accord avec (le ministre) portugais, une enquête pour savoir dans quel port de chargement s'est rendu le PRIMAIRE et a quelle date il est possible d'escompter qu'il appareillera a destination de Lisbonne.

Il semble bien résulter des derniers renseignements reçus de Lisbonne que le PRIMAIRE ne doit plus être considéré comme ayant été torpillé ou coulé, mais que sa trace a été perdue pendant plusieurs semaines. Il devrait être possible
