Having made all this clear, you can add that the French Government expects that the American Government will exercise all its authority to insure, in the spirit of the GREENSLADE - ROBERT treaty, the immediate and complete return of St. Pierre and Miquelon, a conclusion which depends only in fact on the formal expression of the wishes of the American Government.
