Le vote de l'adresse en réponse au discours du trône comportant approbation par le parlement du projet de plébiscite, a donné 144 votes au gouvernement contre 61 opposés.

Cette belle majorité, dont pouvaient faire douter les discussions pour la plupart assez vives qui se sont élevées ces derniers temps, montre surtout après les récentes elections provisoires (mon tél. 66-67) que le gouvernement de Mr. MACKENZIE KING n'a pas une situation aussi diminuée que voudrait le faire croire ses (adversaires?), ceux en particulier qui s'expriment dans la presse imperialiste et financière. Les votes ... ne sont composés en ... que de l'opposition officielle à laquelle s'ajoute un ... canada-francais qui repugne à la tenue d'un plébiscite pouvant aboutir éventuellement à la conscription.
