Au mois de juillet 1940 dês que revinrent d'Angleterre notre ambassadeur et la mission militaire de liaison qui y ont été envoyés qu commencement de la guerre, le gouvernement britannique s'opposa au rapatriement d'une dixaine d'officiers et de ... principal des avlateurs, estimant que ceux-ci possédaient du fait de leur mission des renseignements de caractère secret dont la divulgation éventuelle pourrait constituer un danger pour la défense nationale.
Le 4 aout 1940 ... précisait à notre con-sul-général à Londres que les mesures prises à l'égard des militaires français n'avaient aucun caractère personnel et que ceux-ci seraient probablement ( $87 \%$ ) autorisés à regagner la France à la fin de septembre de la même année.
