ROOSEVELT du service qu'il a rendu à la nation en l'éveillant aux considérables difficultés d'une situation qu'il a dépêtnte sans indulgence.
Ce discours a provoqué, de la part du Président ROOSEVELT et de M. HULL, des commentaires que le premier a formulés en termes sibyllins, laissant entendre qu'il se refusait à toute controverse. Le second s'est borné à dire que, lorsque les faits seraient connus, la politique du Département d'Etat se justifierait d'elle-même.
