Les journaux commentent ce matin ... la désignation de représentants militaires auprès du Comité gaulliste de Londres.
Le NEW YORK SUN reproche pourtant aux auteurs du mémorandum d'avoir été imprécis et diffus: "Nous aurions voulu plus et nous n'aurions pas eu le cœur brisé (si l'on) nous avait annoncé que le Gouvernement français de Londres est le seul avec lequel les N.U. maintiennent des relations diplomatiques".
De même, le PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER regrette "qu'il y ait encore sur le territoire américain d'autres Français que les Français Libres. Le 14 juillet doit nous servir d'occasion à faire enfin la distinction entre les Français qui continuent à lutter et les ... de traîtres qui reconnaissent encore Vichy."
Le BALTIMORE SUN va jusqu'à affirmer que l'Amiral STARK (2684) et le Général BOLTE ont été nommés auprès de DE GAULLE pour préparer avec lui l'ouverture d'un second front en France au cours de l'été.

Mettant à profit des dispositions aussi favorables, les groupes de Français dissidents de New-York ont organisé à l'occasion de la fête nationale une semaine de propagande qui doit donner lieu à diverses manifestations dont la première a obtenu le concours de M. WILLKIE qui a cru devoir dans un discours à la radio rejeter les actions des "collaborationistes de Vichy" pour reconnaître comme (véritables) représentants de la France les partisans de DE GAULLE.
La série de ces manifestations se terminera soir 14 juillet par réunion où parleront divers orateurs. Parmi eux M. ADRIEN TIXIER chef de la délégation dissidente aux E.U., EUGENE HOUDRY, président France Forever, JEAN MILLON, président des Sociétés de Langue française et le député HENRY TORRES. Des (2679) messages de M. BULLITT et du général MACARTHUR seront lus.
Enfin le général DE GAULLE adressera de Londres à l'auditoire newyorkaise un discours à la radio.

Au cas où les éléments gaullistes du pays de votre résidence se livreraient aux mêmes activités, vous saisirez immédiatement les autorités de la question en mettant en place un tel ou une autre application de telles activités dirigées contre le Gouvernement de l'État français. Je vous prie de me mettre au courant et j'attirerai également l'attention du représentant en France du gouvernement auprès duquel vous êtes accrédité sur la nécessité de mettre fin à cette menée.

Mme Vve LAMIELLE (Pension no: 38.147) dont la (retraite) en ... des P.T.T. à Issy-les-Moulineaux ... la fiche de paiement et qui a réglé pour la dernière fois le 3 février 1941 à Vichy son échéance trimestre, désire encaisser à la chancellerie de cette Ambassade les arrérages de cette pension.
La transmission de sa fiche de nouveau devant entraîner un délai considérable et l'Ambassade étant d'autre part en possession du carnet de pension de l'intéressée, je serais reconnaissant à V.E. de bien vouloir autoriser cette chancellerie à effectuer le paiement sollicité en se fondant sur disposition télégramme 893 du 3 décembre 1940 du Département.
